This place is absolutely wonderful for fishing I caught a lot of carp and crucians in willow lake and something grabbed one of my boilies just started stripping line and then broke me off whatever that was was probably a big carp

What a great place! The professionalism and knowledge from the staff is brilliant - they give good advice and go out of their way to help all anglers, experienced or not (like myself). Today though the card machine in the tackle shop wasn't working, which is a slight annoyance for someone who doesn't carry cash, but the staff member - I think her name was June - took me over to the on-site Cafe to get cashback to pay for my bait. Obviously while I was there I had to purchase a beer and cob at Cafe, which was top notch! I will definitely be visiting again.

After reading all the reviews I felt I’d leave my review. My favourite venue, what Ady, Dan and Julia have done to this fishery is fantastic. Completely turned it into one of the top fisheries in the country. Not just for Matches as everyone is made welcome. Everyone is very friendly and if you need advice Dan and his Dad are on hand. The tackle shop is fantastic and I must say the maggots you get are very fresh. How Dan and his Dad run everything so smoothly and fish matches aswell and do all the weighing in and results before I’ve even packed my gear away baffles me😂 During the day many people visit including groups of cyclists and people just popping in for a drink and something to eat from the great cafe( very reasonable prices) a credit to all the hard work and commitment they do. Can’t fault it to be honest

I have visited Shearsby Lakes on many occasions and have never been disappointed. Not only is the fishing great but the location is idyllic and the team working at the lakes, tackle shop and cafe are always helpful, polite and welcoming. A great location for a days angling or just to pop in for snack or a drink. Particular compliments to Julia who runs the cafe, Dan and Adey who make sure the lakes are at their best, and especially Dawn, the cleaning woman who keeps the loos sparking and also does a bit of tidying round the grounds to keep it tip-top at all times.

Visited tackle shop and cafe recently. The lady serving really made my day, very friendly and helped with my food allergies when cooking my breakfast. Card machine not working so she gave me cash back from the cafe so I could buy my bait in the tackle shop. Some of her stories had me really laughing. I think her name is Julie. If you want a hearty breakfast, good chat and excellent service, go to Shearsby, you won’t be disappointed

Amazing venue. Dan and his dad who ran the place are really down to earth. The cafe does decent food and they even bring it to your peg. The fish are of good quality and I have never had a bad days fishing. All the lies are stocked and they even have willow lake for the kids to get learning.
